The Big One looms… After eight months of ferocious research and soulful screenings, our sapling festival is about to have a growth spurt of untold proportions! As our roots extend further, you can become more involved in the festival than ever before.
VOLUNTEERS
We need volunteers to help bring the Sustain Film Festival to life! Held in Guildford from 29–31 August 2025, whether you’re interested in film, event production, tech support, or simply lending a hand—there’s a place for you on the team.
Last week we held a short online information session, where we’ll introduce some of the upcoming opportunities and how you might be able to get involved. The session will take place on:

A summary of the roles we’re looking for:
🌱 Summer Volunteers – Over the summer we’re organising and promoting the festival: securing venues; programming films; marketing ourselves and more. Your role can be one of many – Film Acquisitions Officer, Social Media Manager, Programming Jury – there’s lots to get involved in!
🌱 Festival Volunteers – The week of the festival features various events across multiple venues; screenings, guest talks, socials and more. You’ll be helping prepare and host at these venues to ensure that events run smoothly across the festival, communicating with those involved at all stages of the process – a great chance to connect with people within the industry!
